Alfa Romeo Giulia Q4 Veloce Tuning
A bit of Italian flair for us today. The stylish sedan has a 2.0 turbo engine with 280 hp and 400 Nm as stock, but after our Alfa Romeo Giulia Q4 Veloce tuning, the GME MultiAir produces 318 hp and 466 Nm of torque.
The 2.0 turbocharged GME MultiAir tuning consists of a software adjustment done on the Marelli MM10JA OEM ECU alone. There are no new parts and no physical changes to the car.
With a few adjustments in turbo pressure, fuel delivery and ignition timing the Giulia Q4 Veloce gets 318 hp and 466 Nm of torque. Aside from the power gain, the engine also reacts far better to throttle inputs. This advancement in throttle response plays a major role in the way the car feels on the road. There is almost no lag between pressing the pedal and the reaction from the engine. Maybe you think the stock Giulia has a good throttle response, but when you compare it to our Giulia Q4 Veloce tuning, you will understand just how big the difference is.
We also follow the OEM software architecture, which means that we preserve emissions standard and the wide availability of torque. We will have a more thorough explanation of this particular tuning on our blog in the next few days, so you will be able to see the tuning process in more detail.
The GME engine makes use of MultiAir technology which is the name of a group of solutions designed to provide reliable “cylinder by cylinder, stroke by stroke” control of air intake through variable valve lift and timing. The result is great efficiency that enables variations in operation for different driving conditions, giving the best response to any state.
The GME is used in two forms and on a number of vehicles, including two different applications in the Giulia, but also the Stelvio and US models, such as the latest versions of the Jeep Wrangler, Cherokee and Grand Commander. Being able to tune the GME MultiAir engine enables us to provide significant improvements for any of these vehicles.
